SofaSansar exists for one reason: modern furniture, made for the way people actually live — and made in Nepal.
We started SofaSansar because furniture in Nepal was one of two things — imported, or traditional. Nobody was making modern pieces, locally, for everyday spaces.
So we built a workshop. A team of designers, carpenters and upholsterers who believe a sofa should survive a decade of Sunday afternoons, and that a table made here should feel at home anywhere in the world.

Every line has a reason. We strip away the decorative until only the functional and the beautiful remain.

2014
SofaSansar starts as a two-person workshop in Biratnagar, building custom tables for friends and family.
2018
Our first curated collection launches — sofas, chairs and tables designed as one coherent system.
2021
The workshop grows into a full production team with our own upholstery and finishing studio.
